Gardening Charity RHS in collaboration with Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity and the Staff Wellbeing team ran make a lavender bath sachet workshops, at the cancer wellbeing centre with patients and then NHS staff after work.

They also ran them online, staff learned about how scent can lift our mood, improve our concentration and aid sleep. We made a simple lavender and oat sachet. Oats are good for your skin!

There are many recipes using lavender in cooking - the Herbal Haven website has some lovely lavender cookies.

It is the Lavendula angustifolia types that are best used in cooking. The larger hybrids Lavendins ( L.x intermedia types) have a stronger more astringent flavour that can be over powering.
