Looking for the ultimate challenge for 2024? Then look no further than our Hospital Hero Ultra Challenge!

This year challenge yourself to take on our four exciting events and you will be transforming the healthcare available to your friends and family when they need it most. 

Enjoy hiking through the stunning Suffolk and Essex Countryside and walk side-by-side with our amazing NHS staff, whilst enjoying the spring sunshine.

Then have a summer of fun at our final Welly Walk with free entry to Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park. Followed by a celebration of the completion of the Children's Department transformation, with a Family Fun Day.

Not to be missed is our brand new event for 2024 a Colour Run! Finally finish your amazing year, and kick start the festive season with the Santa Fun Run! You can run, walk, or jog through the picture perfect Colchester Castle Park!

You will be providing patients and staff at your local hospitals and community sites with the extras that go above and beyond what the NHS can provide, but which can make a vital difference to health and healing.

Entry Fee: £45 per person or free for ESNEFT staff, ESNEFT students, ESNEFT volunteers and OCS Staff

Age: Participants must be 14+ by Saturday 4 May 2024 to be able to take part in the Hospital Hero Ultra Challenge. Participants aged 14-17 will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times during our events.

When will I receive details of the events:

You will receive the Hospital Hero Hike event information via email upon purchase of your ticket. You will receive further information for each event throughout the year, around 10-12 weeks prior to the event.
