NHS Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard visits Ipswich Hospital

NHS Chief Executive Amanda Pritchard has visited Ipswich Hospital to meet teams and officially open the new Breast Care Centre. The centre opened to patients earlier this year and the modern environment and equipment has transformed patient experience.

Thanks to everyone involved, especially all the fundraisers who supported the Blossom Appeal so generously to raise money for the centre.

The breast care garden received a blooming marvellous installation of hundreds of blooms kindly sponsored and purchased by supporters. The occasion was marked by the uplifting sounds of Pop Chorus and the planting of the blooms. A poignant moment for many and a time of reflection shared with the team. Amanda also visited the new Children's Department, the upgraded Eye Clinic and the Radiology Department at the hospital.

Blossom Appeal

The Breast Care Centre at Ipswich Hospital fully opened to patients after the final two services moved into the brand new state-of-the-art unit in late January 2023. However, we are still three-hundred thousand pounds away from the fundraising target and we need our community’s support to reach it. Everyone can make a difference and every penny counts, so please continue to support us if you can. The centre will be officially opened later in the spring.
